WARNING BEWARE: Darryl Donovan the owner, filed a mechanics lien against me. I  have consulted with an attorney specialized in construction law and his CSLB readout indicates that  he claims to be exempt from having worker's compensation insurance. This means he is NOT  allowed to have employees working for him.  Under business and professions code 7031 he is  not entitled to any payment, may not use the courts nor enforce the lien. Also, he asked me for 40% for deposit before he began working on my property. That is a misdemeanor!!!! Contractors  cannot do this. And in the mechanics lien he altered the amount owed to him and changed the  interest for non payment from 1.5% found in the contract to 8%. Totally in violation of the law and CSLB" - Vanessa Z.

They replaced a 30 year old 1600 square foot lawn that was full of roots, had to deal with a discontinued pond, and a very irregular shaped perimeter, nothing was a straight line. "We had a bad experience and I would not recommend them or use them again. The main problem was the attitude of the three guys on site - they arrived at 8am but then sat in their truck until 10.45am chatting, then worked for an hour, then made themselves at home for their lunch break by sitting on our deck furniture, plugging their own microwave into our garden electrics, and THREW their food around our garden (which I asked them to clear up). They were unfriendly, unsmiling and clearly had no motivation to be there. I called the office twice during the day to ask what the problem was and no one bothered to call me back. The boss Jorge told me he was with a customer when I called, but never called me back and never came back on site at the end of the day for example to see the finished work.
