Install Artificial proudly uses quality artificial grass turf in all of our installation projects. Our artificial grass is made here in the U.S.A and our office is located in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area. We use high-quality raw materials, antimicrobial protectants, and ultraviolet inhibitors to make sure that your turf is kept clean and maintains its beautiful, green appearance.
One of the main benefits of installing artificial grass is that it will reduce your water usage. Here in California, it is especially important to lower our water use to help prevent further droughts and damage from droughts. With artificial grass, you will use less water to maintain the appearance of the turf than you would with real grass. Since water is actually a limited resource, its sustainability is becoming more important and this makes water conservation at any level crucial and beneficial.
We strive to be environmentally friendly, as we use raw materials in the turf manufacturing process that will reduce or eliminate any negative impact on the environment. On top of using raw materials, recycling is also important to the manufacturing and installation process. Recycling reduces landfill waste and the consumption of our natural resources. This helps to maintain sustainability as a company. When landscaping with artificial grass, you will no longer worry about the dangers that pesticides have on you, your family, your employees, or the environment.
While you conserve water, you will also be saving money. Your water bill will be heavily reduced as you only have to water down the turf every so often, instead of regularly watering your natural grass to keep it looking decent. Using less water can additionally help to reduce energy usage, which can even lead to your energy bill being reduced. Another way it will help your wallet is that you won’t have to spend the money to regularly mow and upkeep your lawn. Your landscaping costs will decrease, whether you maintain your lawn yourself or hire landscapers.
Our artificial grass uses a technology that protects the turf from sun rays. When the sunlight directly hits the grass, the guard technology scatters the sun rays, making the grass look more natural. The technology does this by making the grass look less shiny, and therefore more realistic. While the sun will still warm up the artificial grass turf, it does not get as warm as it would if rubber infills were used in the turf. Rubber infills cause the grass to heat up to higher temperatures and can potentially injure any family members, pets, or your employees. We do not use crumb rubber infills due to this issue. Our infill is safer and heats up less than the rubber version, making it safe for you and your needs.
In addition to the above benefits, another great benefit of installing artificial grass with Install Artificial is that we use antimicrobial technology in our turf and turf infill. The antimicrobial quality of our artificial grass is extremely important in reducing the possibility of the growth of bacteria, mold, and mildew on your lawn. This keeps the yard cleaner and reduces bad odors that could potentially develop. It is preferable to have artificial grass systems that use infill such as what we use in our turf installation. Infill essentially acts as dirt would in a natural grass area, making sure that space stays even and secure. Our infill is non-absorbent to prevent odor and bacterial growth. It’s highly rounded, which means that it will keep it from compacting and losing shape over time. The infill provides your landscape with a cooler surface and is also non-flammable, which can be extremely important for homes and offices that are near areas prone to forest fires. The infill is also recyclable and can be used again in later projects if desired.

The idea of maintaining an artificial turf may seem daunting at first, but it is actually more simple than you would think. There are many benefits to installing an artificial grass lawn for your home or business, and one of the main benefits is the ease of use. The following are our tips for keeping your lawn in its best shape.
Hose down with water at least once a week to clean off any debris. A garden hose or pressure washer both work, but if you use a pressure washer please make sure to keep the nozzle one foot away from the grass. When rinsing off your lawn, make sure to evenly cover the entire area that has the artificial grass. This will help to keep the entire lawn looking equally clean and maintained.
Rake or sweep your lawn to keep the infill even and free of debris. You could also use a leaf blower to blow away any dust and debris. Freeing your lawn of debris is important to maintain the beautiful aesthetics of having an artificial grass lawn. Removing the debris will also help to keep the lawn free from any particles that could potentially get in the way of proper water drainage.
If there’s an area that is soiled or stained, use an environmentally friendly cleaning solution on the area to rid it of the stain and smell, then rinse thoroughly with water. We usually recommend that the cleaning solution is diluted to help protect the grass turf. If you are removing pet odors from your lawn, a solution consisting of vinegar and water will work best to get rid of the smell. Please remember that it’s easier to clean up a spill that is still damp, and to try to not let the affected area dry up and damage the grass.
We do offer a cleaning service for you as well if you’re a busy person or your lawn needs a deep cleaning. Please contact us so we can schedule a time that works best for you to have your lawn serviced.
We hope that these tips will help you when you clean off your artificial grass! Remember that regular maintenance is important to maintain the longevity of your lawn. Our lawns will last you from 15 to 20 years. If you have any questions for us, we would be happy to help in any way.
Often Clients ask us how long the turf lasts. It is a tricky question to answer because of a number of factors. The most critical factor is the amount of traffic the turf will withhold. Another factor could be the number of UV rays the grass receives. The last main factor is how often you service your turf because regular cleanings and maintenance will help the turf to last longer.
Warranties on residential projects are usually around 15 years. What the warranty covers are two things; the first thing is that the synthetic grass is going to be losing color. This is due to the years of direct sunlight on your lawn. The second thing that the warranty covers is the backing of the turf as it can wear down over time, especially with a lack of cleaning and maintenance.
In most backyards that we end up replacing or doing work on, they end up lasting for about eight years. After eight years, homeowners would like to replace their turf lawns. This is because they do not get the turf cleaned regularly and it will get so dirty that it becomes easiest to just remove the old turf and replace it with new turf. Besides getting dirty, the grass blades of the turf fall down due to being walked on for all of those years with no brushing.
When the grass blades begin to fall, they can be woken back up by brushing the turf. This helps to increase the life of your turf. If it has been many years without brushing maintenance, we will service the turf by brushing through the turf then adding more infill to help the blades stand up again. The infill and sand we add also helps to cover the damaged part of the blade, making it last longer as well.
To recap, after eight years of no cleaning or servicing, it is best to fully replace your turf because the blades will most likely be too damaged to repair at the high-quality standards we hold ourselves to. We regularly look at what is doing best in our industry to continue to provide our customers with top quality products. This helps to make our artificial grass installations last longer.
This quarantine has caused us to crave leaving our houses more than we would normally wish. But unfortunately, our yard is usually the only place we can really escape to. But thankfully, you just installed a new artificial grass lawn with Install Artificial! This means that you have a plush, new lawn to play on with your family. The following ideas are just a few things that you can do in your yard!
Have a Picnic
Whether it’s just you having a little quiet time to yourself, spending time with your partner, or having a picnic with your kids; setting up a picnic in your backyard will be cozy and clean with the help of artificial grass. If you spill any food or drinks, you can easily clean it up without worrying about bugs or bacteria growing. Just hose down the area after picking up your picnic and you’re all set!
Make an Obstacle Course
Making an obstacle course on your lawn is a fun way for your kids or even your dog to enjoy the outdoors and get some exercise. All you’ll need are some things around your house, such as cardboard boxes, hula hoops, outdoor furniture, and your imagination! You won’t need to worry about how the turf will hold up as it’s durable and will look good as new after the obstacle course is all put away. You also won’t need to worry about your kids or dogs tracking dirt around and getting muddy!
Put Together Game Stations
Another way for your children to get exercise, setting up game stations in your yard is a great way to get them active after being cooped up all day. Just set up different stations with different outdoor activities; such as jump rope, hula hoops, soccer, horseshoes, tag, and more! Your kids will stay interested in all of their options, and your artificial lawn will stay green and clean even with all of the activity.
Have a Movie Night
This is another cozy, relaxed option for you and your loved ones. You can set up blankets and pillows to sit on and get comfy, and then set up your laptop (or even a screen projector if you have one) without worrying about everything getting muddy! If you’re watching the movies at night, you won’t have to worry about the turf remaining hot as it will have cooled down by the time you start setting up your lawn’s theater.
There you go! Just a few of the many ideas that you, your friends, and your family can do to utilize your yard during this quarantine. There are endless possibilities when it comes to your artificial grass lawn, and the low maintenance and cleanliness makes it that much easier for you to have fun.

One of the most important things when installing artificial grass is making sure that you get invisible seams after installing. Nothing is worse than getting your grass installed then being able to see where the installers put the new rolls of grass together. There are a few different ways to seam your artificial grass upon installation.
The first and most common way is a straight seam. It can also be the most commonly visible seam. A straight seam is when the turf rolls are placed next to each other, aligning where the grasses were cut. If done correctly, the straight seams can be invisible.
The next type of seam is an S-seam. These are great for making seams invisible but are easy to mess up and very hard to fix. If a mistake is made with this seam, the grass has to be discarded. S-seams aren’t used often for those reasons, but we can still use S-seams if a client specifically requests them.
Next is the zipper seam. This is what we use most because it works so well. A zipper seam is similar to an S-seam in shape but has straight cuts instead of curved. The straight cuts work better when cutting artificial grass because the grass is inserted into the backing in straight lines. The zipper seam is easy to fix if it gets messed up, meaning there won’t be a waste of grass if there is a mistake.
These are the most well-known ways to seam artificial grass. It varies from installer to installer but can make all the difference with their visibility. You wouldn’t want visible seams on your brand new install!
Can I get samples?
Sure! But note, mailed samples of synthetic grass may be misleading. Samples arrive compressed, untreated, and lacking the sand filler. They look as stored in a roll at an artificial grass warehouse. This makes it confusing and difficult to make the right decision. We bring a complete set of samples of artificial grasses that look as installed, a much better alternative.
Does artificial grass get hot?
Synthetic grass does get warmer than a natural lawn when it’s out in direct, mid-day sun. On the flip side, artificial grass doesn’t retain heat in the shade or darkness. Be cautious with crumb rubber infills as they can get as much as 30% warmer than ambient temperature, bare foot hot. We do not carry those.
How can I clean my new artificial lawn?
You can use a leaf blower or stiff bristled broom for occasional cleaning. For lightly soiled areas and pet areas you can use a kid friendly, pet friendly, environmentally friendly enzymatic cleaner.
In addition, you can use a pressure washer. When power washing your turf, at all times, keep your wand nozzle at least one foot away from your artificial grass.
We include a free cleaning service for our clients to make it easy for you.
Is it safe for kids?
Absolutely. We select only grasses and products that are lead-free, non-toxic and low maintenance. They’re made and tested in the United States. A synthetic lawn is an excellent alternative for kids that have grass related allergies. In addition, we can put a natural disinfectant infill on your request.
How long will it last?
Most artificial grasses have an expected life span of 15 to 20 years. All grasses we work with come with a 10-year warranty. Plus, we provide a 2 year warranty on installation.
How fast can I return my investments in artificial grass?
On average, artificial grass projects pay back within 3-5 years. Drastically increasing water bills can shorten the period. Accompanied by tax benefits, your lawn becomes a money saving machine. It is like earning a couple hundred dollars every months.
Can you help with landscape design, pavers and deck construction?
Yes, we are a full cycle construction company. Artificial grass is only one of our specialities. Simply let us know that you have other projects in mind and we will happy to bring a specialist who can answer all your questions.
